I would love to see either fight. As much as we give Kessler credit for a competitive fight against Calzaghe, it was even really close. Joe boxed his ears off, and Kess didn't win more than few few rounds. I'm a big fan, but it is what it is.

Kess think he beats Jermaine Taylor. Taylors biggest wins have come against a great fighter who did not let his hands go enough and a man who is naturally much smaller. We saw what happened to Taylor when he got in with a guy who could jab with him and back it up with power. Kess spells the same recipe for disaster that Pavlik did. The one wild card is that Taylor might have fewer stamina issues at SMW. He might actually be better at SMW than he was as MW, so although I give Kess the edge, Taylor could surprise us at higher weights.

I'm totally undecided on Pavlik-Kessler, but I can see Pavlik being even better at SMW, too. To me this fight is even money.
