Whatever come see me after the fight and we can talk about how right I was. :P Banks is at least willing to fight anyone, he would have fought Pascal or Miranda, you cant say he doesnt have balls.

Banks definitely has balls, i give him huge props for that..

But, and i hate to say this, but he already has 3 losses on his record.. He is a prospect that, if developed properly, could be a decent speedy annoying counter puncher and give some (not the top tier) super middles trouble.. If he has 4+ Losses on his record will he ever have a chance to be a big draw like i assume he wants to be? I know that we all could have a conversation saying he lost to some good competition, but on paper it isn't going to look that great..

I don't think this is a great move on paper, or due to the risk of getting his face smashed in.. Even though if he wins it would be Huge.. seems to be too much of a risk at this time in his career.

Unless Miranda has developed alot since the Pavlik fight he could get outpointed.
I think if Banks has managed to solve his stamina issues this could be a possibility, but I don't think it's likely. Banks gassed out against Manfredo, and Miranda is a few levels above Manfredo, and he's going to put all kinds of pressure on Banks. Also, Banks doesn't have the power in his shots to keep Miranda off of him.
I think after the 3rd-4th rounds this one is going to get really, really ugly for Banks.
Wasn't Banks in the last season of the Contender? When did he fight Manfredo? Anyone know anything about Pascal's opponent?

Yeah he lost a UD I think, but throughout the fight, and especially in the early rounds he was tattooing Manfredo with straight rights, closing up his eye. He would've won if he hadn't run out of gas. If he had any power Manfredo would've been in trouble.

I think he had short notice on the Manfredo fight. He definately needs to work on his endurance and d, but he's sharp offensively, just lacks k.o. power.

Thats the biggest problem with this fight for him...Without KO power to hold Miranda off...you are in serious trouble...for a guy with zero amateur experience though Banks is not that bad of a fighter....

He is also self trianed so far, I was hoping McGirt would train him after the contender, but it didnt look like they got along too well.

Yeah Buddy also has a pretty full card...Banks does seem a bit full of himself so that right there would make Buddy say Bye.....We will see in a yr or so what will happen with the kid...I do know this is a bad choice for him

I for one, will enjoy watching Pantera feasting on easy prey. He deserves a couple easy fights after Pavlik to build momentum again and he will then be ready to go back into the mix. How can anyone not be a fan of his? He is a hard puncher, take no prisoner, fight to the end kinda guy and deserves success.

    Miranda KO in 5
