I think he was more or less trying to work on some things tune himself up...he knew this guy had no chance of getting him out of there or ourpointing him...Clottey could have stepped it up at anytime...why not use the fight for some good work before a title fight....
Maybe so but to me its a pattern with Clottey, never seemed like the hardest working fighter inside the ring IMO. Or lacking a killer instinct. Something.

Maybe other times he's been worried about his conditioning but nothing really to worry about in that fight.

I'm not a tough man contest fan, I like the science of boxing but for a guy like Clottey grabbing the attention of the fans wouldn't be a bad thing, just because he may be deserving of a shot doesn't mean he's necessarily gonna get one.
