Read the title prick , best ever performances, it was a great performance by a British fighter regardless whether the opponent was washed up or not.

Was Lacy not one dimensional
was Tzsyu not too old

You could also say those two but it's not a thread of the opposition it's on the performance of the Brit if you read the title.
And you dont think the level of the opposition should play a part on how you view the performance? Beating Tyson 10 years ago would have been impressive - beating him now means about as much as beating Ali now. Look what happened to Williams in his next fight when he went up against decent opposition.
williams was willing to fight the best in his next fight and showed heart and character and lost to the best heavy out there, there's no shame at that.

As I say Lacy was one-dimensional in reality when he fought JC but it was the press that built him up so you could say Calzaghe's great performance was expected against a one-dimensional fighter
