This is a tough list to make.
Killer I complete disagree with Zarate coming in at #2.
(The again you could be listing fighters you have seen and know of)
I especially him over fighters like Sal, JCC, 'El Puas'....
You are right man I can't defend that other than to say I was at work :P

Let me reorganize

1. Ricardo Lopez
2. Julio Cesar Chavez
3. Salvador Sanchez
4. Ruben Olivares
5. Carlos Zarate

Zarate is to this day castly underrated IMO. I don't know how you can't have JCC on there, he was brilliant. My list now stands.
Depends on what your looking for in skills, Chavez was masterful pressure fighter picked his shots well, and was masterful going to the body, but was he a great technical boxer ?? nope not at all just depends what your taste is.
I think this topic is far too broad. First of all 5 greatest Mexican Fighters It's hard for me to pick 5 best Mexican's of anything boxing because there are just so many to choose from, so many different era's, weightclasses, etc. Secondly most skilled: This is also up for debate there are Mexican's who are "SKILLED" at every imaginable style.
Spot on Killer...
I took it as "skills" (slickness, make you miss) but your right "skilled" is so broad that we all took it in different ways.
Whatever else is said, I don't want to get into an argument with you on the best Mexican fighters, you are p4p in that category.
Thats why i love debating with Mick about Mexican fighters i learn so much, and its challenging debating with someone with that much knowledge.
