F*** me! this is disappointing... I mean for fucks sake the man went 40-0 and the lost and went on to 128-1 after his loss.
I mean really....

Scrap, sir you of all people should know that boxers back then would gain weight in between fights so if your really looking for him as a Welterweight they'd you'd have to look closely at how much he weighed for the fights to deterime whether he was coming in as a Welter.

You guys also fail to list Angott, Jackie Wilson, Henry, Zivic maybe not the greatest (aside from Henry) but they sure as hell were World Champs and were the thoughest fighters around.

Theres nothing wrong with analyzing Robinson's opposition, i respect Scraps opinion because he was around in that era so he knows a lot more about the opposition than you and i do.

I take you missed the part where he said:

He came in at the end of his career. That's the 60's we are talking about SRR in the 40's/50's. Theres nothing wrong with questioning anything. I pointed out that Scrap was calling SRR oppostion weak and named some fighters which what a coinsidense he called Henry old.... but didn't mention other opponents of his.

What's makes you so sure Scrap knows more boxing then me? Really curious to know that. He's a trainer and has been involved in boxing for 50 yrs. that does not mean he has been following the sport. Most people like him are too busy working in the sport to have been keeping up with it and or following it closely. You'll find that even trainers like Roach, Roger, James, Manny don't follow the sport in it's depth they are too busy working all the time.

Also I'm not too sure if Scrap will be happy you throwing his name out there saying he know more then other people. I think the mans more humble then to say something like that.

I said he knows more about Robinson's Welterweight opposition because he has seen his fights at Welterweight, we haven't. You took it the wrong way.

I hope you don't think im trying to question your knowledge, because im not i have always said your one of the most knowledgeable posters on here, its just i have heard Scrap say in the past he has watched Robinson's Welterweight's fights so i just felt he would know more about it.
