Anyone whos begins to list N'Dou, Chavez, 'Famoso' and others are just stretching for it.
I didn't list N'Dou or 'Famoso'. Jesus Chavez was a world champ and practically undefeated when he faced Floyd having lost only once early in his career. Considering he went on to win a couple more titles after the Floyd defeat I'd say it was a good win

Oh and Zab Judah is still a big win. If he isn't then Kosta Tyszu and Miguel Cotto can't have credit for him either.
Judah was unifying with Tszyu and was seen as the next big thing in boxing. He was undefeated and most thought he would beat the slow Tszyu. By the time Mayweather fought him,the Judah myth had dissappeared. We all knew his flaws. BIG difference. I'm not saying it was not a big win for Floyd but not as big as the ones already listed by Mick.
I'm not saying it was as big a win for Mayweather as it was for Tszyu but Zab was still highly rated when he fought Floyd. He had avenged a close loss to Cory Spinks with a spectacular knockout and had looked sensational up until his fight with Baldomir, in which he overlooked Carlos completely.

You cannot deny that prior t the Baldomir loss Zab was THE opponent for Floyd Mayweather, the undisputed welterweight champ coming off a string of impressive victories. His loss to Baldomir was very poor but it was largely a case of poor preperation and overlooking his little known opponent.

You cannot say that he didn't come in fully focused and 100% against Floyd. It WAS still a big win, not one of Floyd's greatest but certainly a decent notch on any fighters record. He then followed it up by beating the man who beat the man in Carlos Baldomie, a mediocre champion but still the RING champ and Floyd still won the fight.

You cannot just not give a fighter credit because their opponent isn't a A list fighter. They are all still potential stumbling blocks, and fighters to whom even the all time greats often trip up.

Duran had Kirkland Laing, Leonard had Hector Camacho, Robinson had a dozen or so, Hearns had Barkely etc.

Floyd, to his credit has never yet tripped up. He's always in shape, always prepared, and always fights the right fight to beat the guy put in front of him.

People discredit his record but if wins don't look as impressive as former greats a large part of it is down to the ease with which he beats them.

If he would have gone life and death with Coralles and Hatton for example, their stock as fighters would have risen and some would his wins as victories over great fighters.

As it is he puts on a clinic so people dismiss his opposition.

Floyd IS a great fight, already top 20 p4p and he's still not finished.

As I said before he beats Cotto he's in the top 10 in my book. Add Mosely. Paul Williams and someon like Cory Spinks or Vernon Forrest you would have a case for him being top 5, assuming he remains undefeated that is
Talk about going off topic bro And in the end,you just said what I said,it was a good win for Floyd but not one of his best. See the highlighted. And no-one said anything about not giving him credit just because Zab is not A grade. Who said anything about that?I didn't.
Ah it's just all anti Mayism irritates me. He's the greatest talent in boxing by far, an absolute joy to watch when he's on peak form imo and head and shoulders above his rivals yet the majority of fans on this board just make constant negative remarks about him. He should fight this fighter, he's scared of that fighter, he just handpicks his opponents etc etc.

Really grates me to be honest.

Anway have a Gamo, I'm in a bad mood with you anyway at the moment as you pipped me in the prediction contest.
CC back, and I think it was a few places above you. No doubt about it,Mayweather is a wonderful talent, has the best defence I've seen in a long time and fought 2 top fighters and won this year. I've been harsh on him and his opponents he's been facing in the last 3-4 years but he has atoned for that this year. I'd still have Pavlik as fighter of the year but there you go.
