Well, there are parts of the world, where Braehmer is significantly better known than either Froch or Bika. Furthermore I'm willing to bet that Braehmer at least as many fans all in all as either of these fighters. Add to that that Braehmer is highly rated by the alphabet organizations, and it might made sense for Kessler.

Althogh to be honest, it wont do too much for Kessler's legacy in the long term.

For the record I think that Kessler will take on Mads Larsen next and not Braehmer. I know Palle is against that fight, but it would be a decent return after the loss, and it would be a _huge_ fight in Denmark, especially if they could somehow get a title on the line (even a bogus title might help - the general public doesnt know the WBU from the WBO anyway).

Braehmer has never fought outside of Germany so i doubt many people know him outside of Germany. Where as Bika has fought in Australia, UK, USA, Germany ETC. Plus winning the Contender has got him a lot of popularity so fighting Bika IMO would be a smart choice for 2 reasons. 1 Kessler can easily out box Bika, 2 beating Bika will get him right up there amongst top Super Middleweight's again, and it will also give him a lot of press for beating The Contender winner. Plus he will get a good confidence booster which is important.
