    Default Khan v Thaxton

I think Khan will get the stoppage around 8 or 9 with Thaxton having his hea boxed off in the process,Khan is simply too good for the ageing baldy imo..

Thraxton is the next logical step for khan but I think Warren sees him as too much a threat at the moment he would rather put Khan in with light punchers utill he tightens his defence allthough light punching limmond put him over so perhaps Frank should just take a chance on his chin he has got be tested sometime.

I think that after Khan beats Kristijansen next time out they will find it very difficult to avoid putting Khan in with Thaxton, especially with Thaxton being highly ranked in the European frame too. I agree with Smash that Khan will get him out of there mid to late, although the Earl performance is enough to strike fear into most lightweights' hearts.

I think if he has anything left Thaxton has a great chance of a shock KO win.

Kahn takes this now, I believe he is surpassing Thaxton.

Shame, the longer this is delayed the more one sided it will be. Thaxton aint getting any younger.

    True enough.
However, I can't help but notice it was Kahn withdrawing from purse bids.
Has he got a better idea for an opponent or has he just ruled out Tahxton as a good one?

From what I understood of it he withdrew so he could fight Kristijansen first, and said he wanted to come back to Thaxton afterwards. Probably makes sense not to look to far ahead and let him concentrate on one fight at a time.

He did withdraw from the purse bids, but Thaxton was also offered a career high purse for the fight which he didn't take. I think Thaxton is trying to milk as much money as possible from the fight as a swansong.

It's a fight that would cement Khan as undisputed no.1 in britain, so I'd like to see it on that respect, but I don't expect it to be much of a fight. Thaxton name was first mentioned as someone who could derail Khan after the Limmond fight, more due to Khan's apparent frailties than to Thaxton's abilities when it was a believed that a half durable fighter with a half decent pumch would batter him. For some reason his name has lingered on since and a lot of people will have to backpeddle when Khan dismantles him in less than 6.
