Oscar made him look foolish for 9 rounds and if Oscar's speed was too much for Trinidad, floyd would make him look like an amateur. Trinidad never fought an elite welterweight (Whitaker was beyond washed up) so you can't call him the best welterweight of our time. there is no bona fide best welterweight for our time Oscar fought trinidad, quartey & mosley, oscar beat trinidad but lost to mosley, mosley lost to forrest, forrest lost to mayorga, mayorga lost to spinks.
Your joking right, I think it was Rookiefan who did the post about SCORING THE TITO VS OSCAR FIGHT thread, we all got too watch it and compare and contrast our thoughts, not a one person in the thread had Oscar winning the fight, on top of that you talk about the first 9 rounds? I don't know what fight you were watching, action was very slow for the first 4 rounds with Tito stalking Oscar all across the ring. And if Oscar did make Tito look foolish in the first 9 rounds he made himself look like a complete jackass for the final 4. Back to Floyd, even blows that partially land or that are blocked shots would even hurt Floyd against a heavy puncher like Tito. And I found it hilarious that you put MAYORGA LOST TO SPINKS at the end of your post instead of MAYORGA LOST TO TRINIDAD
that was at middleweight the thread was about welterweight. also I agree that oscar made himself look like a jackass and I was embarrased cheering for him when watching the fight live but Oscar himself will be most tormented by that strategy as he gave the fight of his career away, a fight he could have won easily.
