    Default Lamest excuses for loosing

What have been the lamest excuses out there for a boxer to loose?

The first one that comes to mind is Pac when he lost to Morales blaming the loss on his socks .

Anytime a boxer blames it on anyone but themselves is lame.... IMO.

    - Pacs sock fury was funny.
    - I forget the boxer's name at the moment but who was the boxer that was having stomach problems and in the middle of the fight he walked off the ring cause he needed to use the restroom He said something about a Milk Shake he had drank the day before...
    - I don't think it was an excuse but ODLH's "It wasn't the night of the jab" was fucken REE-DEE-CUE-LUS!!!
    - Zab blaming DK and everyone but himself for his loss to Baldomir.

Hate to say it but when my boy Roy Jones lost to Tarver the third time, I remembr them on HBO saying that he was blaming it on his Dad. Saying that he intentionally threw the fight, cus his Dad was in his corner so as his Father would not get any credit for the victory.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Interesting but the reason Roy Jr. split with his father a long time ago was a difference of opinion on how to fight southpaws. I wonder if after the loss, his father pulled out the ol "I told you so" speach.

My all time favorite to this day is still Vinny Pazienza blaming the fact he did not time his coffee right for losing to Jones

Had nothing to do with the fact at the time Jones was 168 and perhaps the best fighter to ever grace the ring (when he was 168 IMO he was close to unbeatable as any fighter could ever get)...

OR the fact he was being punched repetedly in the face?...Just the coffee

One of the lamest excuses was when Wlad ran out of gas and got beat by Lamon and the excuse was he got poisoned, it was an embarrassing day for his fans, but when things like that happen it makes you realize that he is also a fellow human with human faults. One thing for sure he wasn't the first one to claim he was poisoned and I bet he won't be the last, anyway his fans still love him.

I know RJJ was on ESPN once talking about that saying his dad had the worst plan to fight southpaws. RJJ said if he would have fought that way against any soutpaw he'd struggle to win. He also said he wasn't sure if his dad was saying/doing those things intentionally or not...

CC#287 that's who it was Six Heads' Lewis he was fighting in his hometown or something like that. It was a re-match or a 3rd fight against the same opponent.

Bobby Czyz after being pounded by Evander Holyfield into submission(Literally) quit in his corner. The reason stated was a foreign substance in his eyes. Claiming it was from something Holyfield was using. There was a brief investigation into the matter. A little time later, Albert on Showtime asked Czyz about it, and showed a replay from the telecast. In the corner between rounds Czyz told his corner "he couldn't go on because his back", his corner told him "no, say there's something in your eyes". After the replay showed had what transpired, Czyz was at a loss for words.

He was winning the fight too, so it was probably legit. That sh@ts funny. It could have been a real bad day for him if he continued fighting. He avenged the loss though in his next fight.

    your an idiot!!!

the socks issue was brought up on the jmm fight not the morales dumb shit!!!

the fact that erics camp fooled pacs camp into wearing the gloves they prefer pac to wear was the issue in the eric pac 1 fight. Look at the second round of the second fight with em, its clear pac had a valid point with the gloves issue cause em was getting knock back and it was only the second round when pac had his prefer gloves. I ain't into excuses em deserved the first fight, but dumbturds shouldn't be going around with misleading info.

Get your info corrected first before you rant about hating on pac again dumbfuck!!!

Zab blaming Don King was hilarious, it was the first thing that popped into my mind. John Ruiz blaming his loss to Roy Jones on the ref "not letting him fight (aka WRESTLE) his fight".

Agreed on the lame excuse view as well. I HATE when guys are in the post fight interview and they come out with all this bullshit to save face. Not wearing the kind of gloves you want to wear? Referee breaking too soon? So what, get over it.
