I love pits and I can't stand the legislation being pass to banned them. THE media exaggerate the breed too, anything that looks anywhere close to a pitbull are titled pitbulls but most of them are half breds. Natural pitbulls are half bulldog and half terriors. to mix it with a Lab overwhelms the dogs excitement and results into aggression. Idiot owners breeding pits to mutts are getting aggressive/excited dogs. The pitbull was americans patriot dog back in world war 1. Its irresponsible people that made the pitbulls reputation bad!!!!!! I can't stand these idiots, from the media that blames them for everything to politicians that want to banned them even though they don't know shyt about them and to the bastards that mix breed them irresponsibly in their backyards.

Exactly...they are dogs....of course they will fight each other because it is instinct but to a limit...also any dog including pit bulls will usually only get agressive when they feel threatened or they feel their master is threatened...other then that it is instilled in them....

The only dog scientifically proven to have a natural mean streak in them as time goes on..(and not all of them but it is a common occurence) are Dobermans...It has been proven that due to the shape of their heads pressure builds up from the brain pushing against the skull...depending on which part of the brain is pushing against the skull will determine if the dog becomes agressive without cause

lol, since I don't know the whole story I won't pass judgement on Roy yet, but one thing in that quote that's disturbing is that he sometimes let them fight A HALF HOUR!!!! Think about that for a second. Just sit back from your computer and let 2 minutes go by without doing anything else, imagine how long that would seem to have two pit bulls fighting, and now think of the damage two dogs would do to each other in 30 minutes! That's insane.

Growing up we had 2 chow-chows they used to fight often and we would let them fight. Once my dad got bit in the had for trying to break them up.
Vick breed and ran a circle of dog fighting, he had an established money making business where dogs died and were tortured.

I am no PeTA supporter but I am 100% fighting animals.....even bullfighting isn't very good, although at least the bulls get a shot at the matadors, can't say the same for the dogs or the chickens.

Pitbulls are instinctively dominant, you cant have males together, they will inevitably fight if they weren't raised together from puppies. Once one achieves dominance the others wont fight anymore. The scary thing is when they fight its vicious, they lock their jaws, and you need to jam a stick in their jaw to make them let go. I saw this first hand when my friends pit attacked his other dog. This dog could bite on to something like a towel and you could swing him around and he wouldnt let go....they are strong f*****. Its weird tho because my other friend has a pitbull that is like a lap dog, he wouldnt hurt a fly.

I did some research on this a while ago and found out the reason pitbulls can be tempermental is cause their brain grows at a faster rate the their skull and they have a lot off pressure built up in their heads that can result in headaches which is why they sometimes snap. Thats why they usually snap when their being provoked in some way.
