He lost a points decision, but in reality he beat up Cotto. Just like the second ODH fight. You could have given the points to ODH but Shane beat him down. Same with Cotto. He beat him up, put him on his bike and made the puncher become the boxer because he was losing the punching game. Shane is a monster for anyone, even if Paul won a decision based on his activity, he would get his a*** beat. No joke. Even Winky in the second fight took a beating in my opinion, Shane just didn't have enough pop to one punch ko people at that weight and he was fighting like he has one punch power. But he hurt Winky and moved forward the whole fight against the bigger man. Shane doesn't care about the score so much, he just wants to fight and is willing to take their punches to give his own. His style doesn't suit his strengths as much, but damn you gotta love a guy that fights like that. He could easily outbox and win safe decisions but he comes to fight. It would be a great fight and PW might win the battle but lose the war. Shane whoops him and gives away a point victory by not dodging a single punch, just walking through them to deliver his own.
Shane's a tough guy and he did hit Cotto with some good shots but that's a pretty big exaggeration to say he "beat up" Cotto. Cotto at the end boxed very well, its not like Shane sweeped the late rounds by any means.

Maybe you have a better case with the second ODLH fight but I still wouldn't say he beat Oscar up. I gave him the decision for landing the harder punches but it was still a close fight.
Look at Cotto's face after the fight. Shane didn't sweep the rounds, but he made Cotto run. Shane was chasing him and made Cotto box.

ODH was on his last leg at the end of the fight, going backwards, bleeding, swollen up, out of breath, Shane whooped him but arguably could have lost a decision on points.
I don't judge what happens in a fight by what a guys face looks like after, I know he took some good shots from Shane, still not as many as Shane took from Cotto. I'm just confused as to when Cotto "ran", he won the majority of the rounds when they were fighting more toe to toe and then boxed later on in the fight. Now maybe he boxed out of respect for Shane but it was still boxing not running. There's a huge difference between boxing and running. ODLH ran in the last rounds against Tito and lost them all, Cotto boxed well, winning at least two of the last four IMO on clean punching whether Shane was walking forward or not.
