Must be some kind of hard man to even let them fight i have a 11 month german sheperd who has taken a dislike to my little rescue dog and she got him outside one day and nearly killed him i was hitting her and screaming at her he was covered in punture wounds and could not walk. I was shaking and am now paranoid she is going to kill next time and i for one would not like to be in that situation again i was terrified.

The dogs Jones own's would be far more evenly matched and much less likely to kill each other as they are a fighting dog.

Not that I condone dog fighting or it's supporters, but I don't think what Jones "did" was that terrible as he wasn't encouraging the fights, just letting nature take it's course if it happened.

No, my comment was directed to the person who suggested that we only stick talking about what boxers do in the ring and that dog fighting, organised or otherwise is no big deal. Jones said it, it's fair game.

Now it's not something I'd want to watch or participate in, neither fox hunting or bull fights but I really don't see how, from the animal's point of view it's any different to being crammed into little pens and cages for their short miserable lives before being taken to a slaughter house where they enjoy live disembowlments and having their throats slashed.

My opinion is this, unless you are a vegan, do not use any animal products at all, either for clothing, makeup, furnishings etc then you can take your hypocritical opinion and F*** off.

Anyone who claims they are against killing animals for pleasure yet enjoys a nice tasty cheesburger or wears the latest Nike trainers or has a nice leather sofa can stick their opinion of their F****** a** as far as I'm concerned.

sure there are places that don't treat animals correctly before they are processed into food but that's what PeTA is there for.

And hunting isn't similar to dog fighting or bull fighting or anything like that, I know you didn't specifically mention that but you implied it. Hunting when done correctly is used to control populations of animals for the good of the environment and to feed people.

Sorry Lyle, not sure if you're aware of traditional hunting in Britain, but it's a long way different from what it is in America. Basically in Britain, there are lots of large kennels which breed and keep packs of hounds specifically for fox hunting. Then, up until 2005 when fox hunting with dogs was (technically) banned, those dogs would be set loose once a month or so with a group of posh people on horses out for a day of healthy fun riding horses, looking down at peasants and killing things.

Nowadays, they have other peasants who go out and lay a scent for the dogs to follow. IF those scents go through foxes dens which might distract the dogs and horses, then c'est la vie.

Then the dogs rip the foxes and the cubs to pieces, and bring them to the posh people.

We have dog hunting in America but it's either getting birds in the air, driving deer, treeing raccoons, possums, squirrils, (not to mention Mormons and Jehovah's Witness') or retrieving, the killing is as humane as it can be....people always demand to know why guns are used because "Deer don't have guns, they don't shoot back" etc....well God gave man brains and those brains invented the gun, bow and arrow, etc. Asking a human to not reason out a decision would be like asking a deer not to use it's ears or nose or eyes as they are much better at sensing things in the wild than human senses.


I don't know much about fox hunting sounds more like dog fighting than I would care to see or participate in.


True hunters need to have a respect for nature as without it then there would be no hunting....sometimes just going and not even shooting is fun, watching nature is entertainment...you see much more than just deer when you deer hunt....bobcats, wild turkeys, foxes, bears, hell you can see any number of things and you don't just shoot and kill everything, that's ridiculous and irresponsible......and the way Hollywood portrays hunting as pure evil is irresponsible too as without hunters the only apex preadator that routinely checks the deer population in the SouthEastern US is the CAR.
