I'm sorry for keeping the socks thing going, but is there any footage of him blaming it on his socks? LOL, I never heard about that. Surely this is a joke

pac just said that he wore thin socks that cause him to have blisters and afterwards he showed the bloody blisters on his foot. Then haters just exaggerated that his making excuses and it was soley because of the socks that cause the fight to be a draw or in thier delusional opinion...a lost.

I'll tell you who should blame a loss on their socks, that guy Piccarillo or whatever his name was who just fought Forrest? Damn, that guy had on tube socks from 1983 and they went to his thighs. Damn things must have weighed 756 pounds with all the water weight from his sweat.

I've actually heard that fighters wear socks like that to keep the blood flow to their legs up. So as to stay fresh.

yea Hulk is right, wearing long socks or leg warmers stockings help the legs fresh and it helps maintain a good circular blood flow. Basketball and Football players wear them all the time. It is weird though to see boxers wear long socks, nonito donaire wears long red socks too. I guess it just looks weird cause only a few boxer do it. They are a lot uglier with bizarre colors though lol

After fighting for so many years why would he suddenly wear a different kind of socks? As he was wearing them, didn't he notice they were different? That is the reason why I list him as a boxer that came up with a lame excuse to what JMM did to him in that fight which many thought should be a JMM victory.

*sigh* Oh well, we'll see what happens in their rematch. A fight boxing fans deserve from two good fighters who had an action packed match. Can't wait to see what happens.

Often a fighter may wear a new brand/type of equipment in training and find it ok. The detrimental aspects and disadvantages of the item of equipment is only fully understood during the fight itself.

Agree Hulk. Watching prime Roy Jones is one of my favourite things to do.

But I am of the opinion that has been totally shot since the Ruiz fight. The first Tarver fight, Tarver could have taken him out the way Roy was fighting but Tarver was probably still intimidated by the mere MEMORY of prime Roy. In that first fight he just lay on the ropes for huge stretches.

Roy was lucky to hear the final bell in the third fight, after that big right he took in the 11th.

And yes, that excuse is just so LAME.

The first one that comes to mind is Pac when he lost to Morales blaming the loss on his socks .

the fact that erics camp fooled pacs camp into wearing the gloves they prefer pac to wear was the issue in the eric pac 1 fight. Look at the second round of the second fight with em, its clear pac had a valid point with the gloves issue cause em was getting knock back and it was only the second round when pac had his prefer gloves. I ain't into excuses em deserved the first fight, but dumbturds shouldn't be going around with misleading info.
