I quit back in June. I just woke up from a long night of partying/drinking and smoking and decided I was done with smoking and haven't touched one since. I have gained about 10 pounds though which I would rather have the extra wieght then smoking. I go to the gym 5 days a week and I' m now able to more cardio then I use to when I would smoke.
The hardest thing for me when I quit was when I would have some beers or go out it was really hard not to smoke because to me thats when a cigarette tastes the best. But I'm over it now and I don't even think about smoking a cig when I drinking now.
You can do man, it just takes allot of will power thas for sure.

spot on mate that is the way to go and you do not miss having a smoke when drinking in fact after 6 months you don't miss them at all.

i didnt go to the gym and put on 3+ stone....

so going to the gym is a must or you open yourself up to all the other threats that come with the extra weight

Something in her life that had an impact on her like that could have given her supernatural (mental) strength to quit.

I've heard of people who have smoked for years, have TRIED to stop smoking and failed many times in the past, but then find out one day that they have lung cancer, and upon finding that out were able to quit cold turkey no questions asked.

Aww jeez,Im trying to quit right now too
But the "new and improved" Nicorettes flavour lasts for about 9 seconds, and then it goes right back to tasting like an ashtray just like it did the first time I tried
Im still going to try though,I just need to figure out how many Big Reds I need to cram in my jaw to make up for that inevetible,I just licked an ashtray taste
