This is really misleading when people want to talk about him having fought at flyweight and thus can't possibly move up as far as 140.. For those who didn't know, Mayweather fought at 106 pounds as well, when he was an amtuer... But I'm fairly sure he was the same age as Pac was when he fought there... Thus, it is really no more impressive than Mayweather having already beaten Hatton, side for the fact that Mayweather had much more time to settle in to the weight classs.. But still, in terms of a historical sense, should Pac beat Hatton... Mayweather has already done almost exactly the same thing... The only difference is that Mayweather established himself at the weight before beating Hatton..

that is as good a post as i have ever seen on this forum.

    brilliant.
If it was meant to be ironic.

The difference between Mayweather and Pac beating Hatton would be monumental.

Mayweather defeated Hatton after going unbeaten in 3 fights at 140, 3 fights at 147 AND a fight at 154. Mayweather started BIG favourite.

Pac has yet to venture past 130 (TWO weight classes below) and has been beaten 4 times at lower weights.
Pac would be a MASSIVE underdog.

Vegas SportsBook says otherwise... Pacquiao is favored to beat Hatton in Vegas opening odds...

Yep, one year makes so much of a difference...

A year ago, boxing people won't even dare to mention PAC fighting Hatton and would say PAC has no way to beat Hatton... But today, Vegas oddsmaker will favor PAC to defeat Hatton... That's the fact...
