Are you serious bro? The first lists were compiled in the 80's?! How comes I hear that SRR invented the term P4P? I thought lists were a natural thing since then.
Right, the "term" P4P was BUT actual list I think it started being done in the 80's. I could be wrong here... But I've NEVER seen a P4P list from the 40s, 50s, 60s or 70s.

I heard the term before like Mick stated but as an actual list that was in print or used on broadcast like today I don't think it was around before the late 70'0s or 80's either....

IMO in the 40's etc there were sooo many guys fighting that were good and the fact there was only 1 world title in each division added with the fact guys fought under assumed names it was practically impossible to make one
