James Toney was born in Grand Rapids, raised in Ann Arbor, but fought out of Detroit, kind of. Grand Rapids also boasts the Mayweathers, several other pros and a few olympians as well as Buster Mathis Sr. who fought Ali and Jr. who fought Tyson.

But Hell Detroit with Joe Louis, Tommie Hearns etc etc, One of the best boxing towns ever. Hey, also Muhamed Ali has lived in Michigan for years.

But San Juan and Mexico City are the meccas for Latino fans.

the rican fighters are not from san juan....mexico city is a solid pick. how about general santos city, philippines. 2 of the 3 top pound for pound in my book. Nonito Donaire and Pacquiao..impressive.
