That's a bit outlandish..... He has NEVER fought in the states. Name.....2 great(not world class, great) fighters who built their legacy outside of the US. How is Calzaghe supposed to expect recognition stateside when the only time he had a televised fight here was against another fighter unknown to basically everyone? Why should he have any recognition in the US, in your mind. I know he's a great fighter but boxing isn't a mainstream sport by any means these days, Americans hardly take notice of their own up and coming prospects.
