Prime Tyson VS Prime Lewis

Well in his prime Tyson struggled with tall fighters like Green, Smith, and Tucker and Douglas... and about a year ago I would of said Tyson wins because I am a huge Tyson fan but after looking back over Lewis's career I can only see one winner and its Lewis. Ive learnt to admit it. LOL

People hate Lewis, so there will be more people saying Tyson would of KOED him, but if you look at the facts, Tyson in his prime never even came close to knocking down Green, smith, and Tucker, and Lewis in his prime was 10 times better than all of them and had the 1 punch KO power like Tyson.

Ive stuck up for Tyson since I was about 8 yrs old, he is what got me into boxing but I think Lewis knew he had Tyson's number all along, abit like Holyfield did !!

The size difference too is a major factor, Tyson had fought big tall men before but Lewis just wasn't tall in his prime, he was a 18 stone monster who could move round the ring just as good as any boxer I have seen, check the footwork out on the Tua, Tyson, Holyfield, and Rahman 2 fight, they don't get near him and all look frustrated at the end of the rounds with their corner man saying get inside, and Tyson and Tua I both heard say, I cant !!

Tyson was never stopped by a single punch like lewis was TWICE. Tyson was always stopped by dozens of punches in a row like douglas,lewis, holyfield, williams.

Man it means that Rahman and McCall punchs was 2 strong and there was some luck too . . . Tyson got beating many punches to down . . .

And Lewis drop down Tyson with many punches ? ? ? I remember Lewis KO Tyson by 1 punch and a half sholder check ! ! !

I agree. Kevin Rooney said that when Mike was younger, he would see him get hammered sometimes in sparring sessions but would walk through it. The Rahman KO of Lennox almost looked fake. Lennox was backing up, and it looked like he was grinning and smiling arrogantly; Rahman sneaks in a big overhand punch on him; Lewis falls back, hits his head on the ropes, and never gets up.

HMmmmmm yes of course we never knows it was a paid or real punch KO from Rahman . . . But even i think maybe it was paid so because when Lewis was never losing it would be boring and they want make a bigger money business with the Rahman - Lewis 2 . . .

Someone here mentioned that the McCall stoppage was awful then you should see how many seconds they counted for Douglas against Tyson. Now that was awful!

Yeah Lewis does have a decent chin, But sometimes he gets overconfident and does not take the proper preparation for fights of great or large magnitude. But I can tell you he trained hard for the Klitschko fight and he knew before Klitschko about the fight and he still was getting that a** handed too him. Any way I think a prime Tyson would Ko a Prime Lewis.

Im sorry but i dont think Lewis could contain a young Tyson coming at him non stop.

we know that Lewis hasnt got the strongest chin in the world and there is no way he could avoid some of those bombs Tyson use to throw all night

I know he was shot as a fighter very quickly but he didnt live the cleanest life style

Lewis would beat a prime Tyson...Tyson as good as he was as good as his style was he still had trouble with the taller guys and Lewis was a supurb boxer with huge power too.

Tyson wouldn't get KO'd though and might stagger Lewis a time or two

I truly believe that a prime and passionate Tyson ala 1987 would have KOed Lewis. I don't believe Lewis had a good chin and he sure as hell didn't have a good jab.

Tyson hands down..we are talking about an ass kicking machine here....Tyson was not in his prime once he got rid of Kevin Rooney and crew...but when Cus And Kevin with Tyson..that was the makings of the greatest fighter of all time....ever..but, Tyson got rid of everybody he was initially involved with and it never came to be..as for the KO's that was an uninspired Tyson...Tyson in his prime had "BAD INTENTIONS"..he truely wanted to hurt people....he was a beast in his prime....everyone has one or two bads fights so the bonecrusher and Tucker...Don't forget Tyson KO'D Mitch "BLOOD" Green outside the ring...remember Green's face!!!! Eye swollwn shut lip all busted up nose swollen...TYSON the greatest that never was...what a waste...
