Conrad just posted an article from Sky Sports saying that Witter is fighting D-Hop in the US instead of Castillo.

I can add that boxrec currently has Castillo listed to fight in Mexico on the Peter-Maskaev undercard. Opponent is Timothy Bradley (21-0), who also happens to be ranked as #1 by the WBC, Castillo being #2. Looks to me like an eliminator for Witter's WBC belt then, so perhaps at a latter stage?

Oh, and without knowing too much about Bradley, I'd say this looks like a very decent card. This fight, Juan Diaz-Nate Campbell as the main undercard and then Maskaev-Peter - pretty interesting night, if you ask me.

(Of course, this being boxrec and all, this comment might end up completely irrelevant, but thought I'd share it anyway)

Just a litte bit more information: Fightnews has a report on WBC purse bids from monday. Bradley-Castillo is included as a 'Super Lightweigth Final Elimination', and furthermore it says "An agreement was reached and the fight will take place in Cancun on March 8, 2008 on the undercard of Maskaev vs. Peter.".

So I guess it is on, it is on that card, and it is an eliminator.
