Cotto is fighting ALFONSO GOMEZ, and please don't try to defend Gomez by making outrageous claims like "He's a real good fighter," or "He's a real tough kid that's gonna give Cotto a tough fight."

This is just as bad as when Antonio Margarito fought Golden Johnson, and if I recall, there were people out there making the same ridiculous claims for that fight as well.

I have said this before and will again...contrary to poular belief Gomez is not the worst choice of opponent...Sure there are bigger fights out there we all know that....But they are not materializing right now are they?....Not saying it is the fault of Cotto's team or the fault of the other fighters it just is not happening...everyone is on a full scheduale right now

DLH- Only fights part time...He is really a 154lbr now we all know that...I hate to burst anyones bubble but why is everyone acting like DLH has a need to fight Cotto?...In truth it is an all gain for Miguel not Oscar....DLH needs to answer no ones challenges...and in truth he has earned that right with the resume he has...sorry if no one agree but it is the truth....Oscar if anyone in this whole sport has proven time and again he is afraid of no one! and has Nothing to prove!!!...And I can't stand De La Hoya

PBF- he had a big 2007...has he taken some bouts in the past that were easier then others available in the division he was in?...Yes that is not a question...again agree or disagree it is true...PBF stated several times before Hatton and after he is taking time off...So what are we going to cry about it? Make claims it is all because he is ducking Cotto?....Even if it is true you know what?...suck it up and move on..there are plenty of other fights out there.....

I like Cotto...I am a fan but people blow this shit out of context....I am going to say something with risk of a bunch of guys getting into a big Huff....But

Cotto is just getting started in the 147lb division...Yes he beat Mosley, Judah, Great wins against top caliber fighters...He should be applauded for the wins...his other wins were over Quintana, and Urkal...well they were good wins against good fighters yes but lets be honest here...If PBF, Margarito, opr anyone else beat those names there would be a whole mess of post saying "They were not that good...B level if anything..."...He needs to beat better fighters and everyone here knows it is true.....

DLH and PBF are pretty much on the way out...Not skill wise but career wise..they are persuing other ventures...They have earned that right...DLH has the best resume in the last 50yrs if not all time....PBF has been the P4P#1 fighter for how long now?.......How do either of them need to fight Cotto or need to prove anything by fighting him?...Cottos team is the one that should be chasing them with a deal they can not refuse...they don't need to accomidate Cotto or anyone else...and they are not ducking him......

I am not putting Cotto down I like the guy and think he is a great fighter but facts are facts...business is business especially at the level these guys are at....

As for Gomez...hell at least Cotto is staying busy with an active guy who has stepped up his game....when a bigger name is available Cotto will sign to fight them I am sure but why should he wait around until a name is open?...Stay sharp, defend your title against all comers...in 2007 he beat Judah, Mosley and Urkal...WTF did Cintron and Williams do?...other then Kermit looking like shit in his last bout and Paul taking the year off to pat himself on the back and tell anyone in the media willing to listen how great he is
