Yes, he's definitely lost some of his speed. In his prime, he was one of the fastest fighters PFP in history. Now, he is just well above-average speed wise, he doesn't have that all-time type speed anymore.

People who think Jones hasn't lost any speed need to download one of his fights from 10 years ago.
He is still faster than Calzaghe.
He's faster during the 60 seconds of a round when he can let his hands go. During the other 2 minutes when he needs to rest, he's not.
Just because Jones has a low output doesn't mean he can't win, fighters like Woodhall, Eubank, Reid, didn't have high work rate when they fought Calzaghe but they still give Calzaghe all he could handle, well Calzaghe did dominate Woodhall in the later rounds but Woodhall still done pretty good.

Completely agree here Sweet if you notice RJJ has great speed for about a minute spur but once he's used it up forget it he's just average.

You also have to take in consideration, that he was concerned with pacing himself after having the fight of his life getting down to 170. At 175 he just might be able to gauge his stamina much better and have much better output. At no time did he seem winded at 170 as he took some time off during rounds, but I think he was just being cautious to insure he had stamina later in the fight, and also to let Tito get a bit arm weary. Tito was carrying a lot of sting in his punches, especially early. You could hear the thud of his shots landing to Roy's body.

Did you see his fight against Hanshaw? That fight was at 175, and Jones spent even more time on the ropes resting in that fight than he did last night against Tito. It's got nothing to do with weight. It's all about age and wear-and-tear. Jones has 39 year old legs, and therefore he simply can't fight for more than about ~60 seconds of a round.
