It's my view that Roy did box relatively well. His hands up defence worked very well (he could have used it against Johnson and Tarver) and his jab was improved from what I've seen before. Even more pleasing was the fact that he wanted to box textbook. I f you listen to the conversation in the corner between two and three The trainers say "Ok If you want to box it's your show."

However I did find a number of flaws with the Jones that showed up at the weekend. In the early going he did little and absorbed a number of shots from Trinidad. Now that was well and good versus the faded Trinidad, however put in there with a fresher younger guy his own size, where he would be forced to avoid those early shots and fight for twelve rounds, can he do it? I really think not.

Despite what many say, I enjoyed the fight. I think Tito displayed a big heart and a little development in his boxing since the Wright fight, albeit accompanied by a considerable amount of ring rust.

A good fight and what should rightly be a decent send off for both fighters.
