I've never had the smiley problem BUT I used to have this thing when my session would time out as I was typing my text and my text would erase.

I learned this the hard way, this one time I was in the middle of looong post that I had done some research on and had been typing for at least 10 minutes and then when I clicked post my entire text just fucken disappeared I fucken shit pants when I saw the text box empty. From that day on whenever I typing a long text I copy it whenever I see I've typed a pretty long post. Just incase it erases.
