Now I can see how people think that Cotto is slow, but its only his movement that is slow, his reaction speed is very good, he has very quick hands, and he fights very fast in his head. However the problem I see him having against Mayweather is that Mayweather does this at a higher level than anyone I've ever seen except RJJ. PBF doesn't tire, he retains his quickness throughout the hold fight, he gets good power of his back foot, and he is nearly impossible to hit cleanly. Its not that Cotto is one dimensional or slow that I believe he loses, in this case its Floyd's greatness, and not his shortcommings that make impossible for me to see him winning.
Good point Taeth. Haven't seen Floyd exhausted yet. So far, the only ones that I have seen giving Floyd a challenge is Jose Luis Castillo 1 and ODLH. Regardless of what outcome I foresee of Cotto vs Mayweather, I'll be rooting for Cotto.
Jesus Chavez gave Mayweather one of his toughest fights as well you should check that out.
