im taking Haye to stop him late on! think itll be a great fight i just see Haye being the slightly more skillful fighter with better conditioning....will be interesting to see how good Enzo's chin is tho!

Wow just checking this this morning and I can't believe that Haye is such an overwhelming favourite!
I guess that it's justified, but I thought it would be closer!

I feel that Haye is the allround better boxer & if he uses those skills he will win by late stopage but if he goes out blazing it's anybodies fight. Macca on the other hand has not been in a fight where he has had to think, his last couple of fights have been a joke neither opponent was looking for a fight & wanted out before a punch was thrown how he copes with a live boxer in front of him remains to be seen
The one factor in this fight that remains to be answered is if Haye is weight drained it could have a big effect late on
I agree to an extent Tellboy, however I can't discredit Braithwaite. Although past his best he still wanted the win over Enzo and Macca dealt with it well and In my personal opinion boxed reasonably well.

I didnt think Braithwaite was interested at all Donny, he flirted with the idea of winning the fight but never really went for it. I thought Enzo boxed well too.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley
Well I put it down to faded ability and age but you could well be right Memphis.

Both guys are big big punchers, so either will always have that puncher's chance. But if you take a step back from the hype and assume that their big punches and shaky chins cancel; each other out, I think we forget that Haye has enormous amateur pedigree as well (I mean, a world championship silver medal and all etc etc). Haye is also the naturally bigger guy ....... is I would think he brings more to the party and hence is my favourite.
Strange things happen in boxing and any outcome is possible, but a Haye stoppage (possibly after a scare along the way) is my pick.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Haye is naturally 2.5 stone (35 pounds) heavier than Macarinelli! I think Haye will be so weight drained at 200lbs that he will get stopped!

that is the big danger for Haye which may make him reckless early onOriginally Posted by BIG H

Heart says Haye but H is spot on when he says the weight is a BIG issue!!!!
Also write off ANYONE trained by Enzo Calzaghe at your peril
Another thing that makes this so intruiging is the Fact that both are chinny and i remember Hobson having Enzo in trouble a good few times when they first met on the Czlzaghe/Lacy undercard so this really could go either way!!!
Still in two minds whether or not to go or just lounge about on the sofa with Sky Plus at my finger tips hahaha![]()
Enzo in 5 by brutal KO. Of course this is boxing and there are no guarantees, but i guarantee Enzo gets a Kayo over Haye.
People will be shocked how well his chin will hold up.
"oh but Scott put him down" - yeah big deal watch the fight, the punch lands ontop of the head, he gets up takes a demon punch flush on the chin but doesn't trouble him, go figure for a chinny guy huh?
"Hobson hurt him" - That shit was a good ol' fashion tear up with 2 big boys, yes he was stunned at times, but when you give it that much you get fatigued you feel everything more.
Compare Enzo to those fights to his fight with Wayne. A shit load fitter, trained now by one of the best trainers in the world - Wayne Braithwaite can hit like a mule can kick and didn't phase macca...
Personaly i would be more worried about the rumors of Haye being put on his ass by danny williams and gurov...
true his amateur career was ok but you can't compare it to enzo's, it was completely different.Originally Posted by X
Enzo was part of his fathers gym, and that belonged to a break away federation, the WABF i think... he one a fair bit as a junior, but as senior he had almost no doors to fight to go thorugh because of the gym he fought out of. He only had 11 senior fights as an am, it was an ok record i guess, 11 wins all by KO, 10 in the first round, nothing special tho... there were no Fragomeni's on his amateur record, unlike haye's...![]()
