OK, but none of those fights were anywhere near as big from a PFP perspective as Pac-Marquez II.

Pac and Marquez are two of the top 4 PFP fighters in the world and are in a near 50/50 fight. To find the most recent occurrance of this, I think you have to go back all the way to Oscar-Tito.

Pacquiao did floor Marquez 3 times in the first fight and he still got up and IMO I think Marquez won that fight even with the drastic first round beating.

Marquez Will not be the overly assertive fighter we have seen of late vs. Pac,He will utilize all technical prowess and let all to willing Pac lead.I want alot of people to presume this will be a repeat of Rnd 1
Its a mutual and straight up contest with all balls Pac playing aggressor throughout and Anyone that is counting out Marquez as an old once was who can not still box his a** off are securing there own embarrassment.

Manny wins this. The more I think about it,the more I think he'll win but I so,so so hope JMM wins.I'm still going for Manny on points. Especially the fact that he's looking awesome in training with zero distractions.

Mainly he's improved more than JMM to me. He just fell in love with the left hand after that first round, no body work, no right hook. A more tactical fighter now too.

And even though JMM has been incredible offensively lately he's been getting hit a lot more. Its not that he's been looking bad or anything, he's won all of his fights lately fairly comfortably-I thought he pretty clearly beat MAB-but he's looked easier to hit, look at the Terdsak fight, Jaca fight. And I thought he looked good but maybe not great against Rocky.

I don't think JMM will be as offensive,although I will say this,if Manny fights like he did v MAB or the other dude he fought last year(Solis?Mind's gone blank) he'll lose. V Solis,he looked raw and 1 dimensional again and v MAB,he outboxed a guy who was there to survive. v JMM,you can't outbox the master boxer.

he did manage to get up and adjust. i give him that. but i dont think he won that fight at all. he won some rounds and the scoring contributed to the draw as well. he only tasted the left hand that time.. we will see how he responds to the two-fisted more controlled and much improved pacman

Oscar was more than a 2-1 favorite for that fight. It wasn't viewed as an even matchup in the way that this fight is.

Just watched that fight again recently. Shane was a thing of beauty in that fight. So fast and slick. As far as the Pac vs. JMM fight...it should be a close one. Some people keep mentioning Pac has improved greatly...and he has gotten better. But against MAB...he had a hard time connecting. It was just that Barrera was gun shy. If Marquez can move well and counter sharply...he can win. But if Pac's pressure and youth make Marquez hesitant...Pac will prevail. Should be a great fight.

Manny didn't take Jorge Solis and MAB seriously that much. He had tons of distractions last year (political/scandals, training in P.I., wild lifestyle). but still managed to win convincingly.

Manny is taking this fight seriously. He's training like an animal at the wild card gym with zero distraction. The last I've heard of him trained like that was when he fought EM for the third time.

I'm sure JMM will do his best to avoid the flying straight left, that's why Pac's right hook will play a big role this time.
