Not a single one. I've only seen a trailer for Yuma.

No idead what the other ones are about. Although I imagine Hairspray is a remake.

out of the ones listed i think however i would most likely enjoy 3:10 Yuma since i believe it has Christain Bale in it whos one of my favorite actors. i think russel crowes in it too?

As honest as I can be these are possibly the worst set of films that I have seen nominated. I've seen them all including Atonement, Michael Clayton and No Country for old men...

    Nothing REALLY sepcial there honestly....

    Not like in past years:

    2007: The Departed
    2006: Crash
    2005: Million Dollar Baby
    2004: Lord of the Rings
    2003: Chicago
    2002: A Beautiful Mind
    2001: Gladiator
    2000: American Beauty

None of 2007s films I feel are on that level.

hey mick did you see "There Will Be Blood"?

The trailers are really making me go see this movie.. curious if it was any good..

Anyway.. i've seen Juno and it was awesome, but it's not worthy of film of 2007.. Although Ellen Page has a chance to get best actress cause she is awesome.. i saw her in Hard Candy and loved it.

    EDIT

I didn't realize There Will Be Blood was on the list.. so considering yous aid you saw all of them Mick, how was it? haha

Either 3:10 to Yuma or There Will Be Blood wins it.
But chances are 3:10 to Yuma will be the winner.

Both good films but I guess I just didn't get captured into the films. Like I just wasn't rally sucked into the film. If I had to say There Will Be Blood is the better film. Out of the bunch I'd have that as #1 with 3:10 at #2.

I disagree I think there have been some great movies this year.

3.10 To Yuma was a great film, as always Russell Crowe shone and Christian Bale put in a solid performance. We don't get Westerns often any more and this one was really good.

Juno if you havn't seen it is an absolutely charming film. I really really enjoyed it and was expecting it to be completely gay. It was laugh out loud funny in some places and genuinely moving in others. If Ellen Page did by some miracle beat Julie Christie to win the Oscar for Best Actress I would be delighted as she was simply superb in this film.

I've not watch Into the Wild or There Will be Blood yet so can't comment and God only knows why you included Hairspray in your list

As for No Country For Old Men I absolutely loved it, watched it twice. Javier Bardem is a virtual shoe in for Best Supporting Actor in my book his performance was absolutely brilliant.

I'm suprised you didn't like this film Mick? I thought it was great better than any film in 2007 imo and certainly better than The Departed.

I certainly feel No Country is a better film than The Departed, Crash, Million Dollar Baby and a million trillion gazillion times bettert than Chicago.

Obviously not Lord of the Rings or Galdiator level as they are my two favourite films of all time but a very very good film nonetheless.

We also had 300 which was effing brilliant and American Gladiator which was a great film too.

It seems to me that every year seems crap for films until you look back in hindsight.
