Hey guys, sorry for late reply. Been disconnected all weekend.

Anyway, my opinion on this is that it was a mistake, pure and simple. I know P4P lists are subjective but I think it was way off this time and they themselves confirm it by putting Floyd back to 7th the very next year.
I mean , they put DLH back on top of him despite Oscar had just had his seccond loss.

I also think Trinidad got a bad rap here cuz he really deserved that top spot in 99 and 2000.

I mean I know, strickly speaking, Jones should have been in that #1 spot all along but if they decide to put Oscar over him. Then Tito gets a close win over him in 99 and then decides to move up in 2000 and beats the two champions in that division. Why put Jones over him in 99 than put Jones under Tito in 2000 and replace him with Mosly for beating a man who had already losed. (I hope that was not too confusing)

OK OK I know what you are all going to say. But Tito didn't beat DLH and Mosley did. But fact is it was a close fight and Tito got the nod.

Also I understand that maybe the reason why Tito did not move on top is because the fight with DLH was such a disapointment that both fighters lost some status with that one.

Anyway my main complaint is that Tito should've been considered the #1 p4p fighter when he stepped in the ring with Hopkins. And since I can't argue why Jones is over him without getting creamed despite that Jones was fighting nobodies for a good long time, I will argue why Floyd was over him at 99 and why Mosley than ended up on top in 2000 when I don't think any fighter had a better year in 2000 than Tito. As a matter of fact I think Tito was The Ring's 2000 fighter of the year.

What is the point of this thread? No Idea. Personal satisfaction I guess.
