Oscar changes his mind alll the time the pussy....first it's Tito, then Mayweather oh no my bad it's Winky no actually he wants to retire....why does he not go away!!! He's in Margarito's way,he's in Hatton's way and no-one realllly wants to see Floyd fight an aging Oscar do they? You are going to watch De La Hoya being dismantled unless he has magically got all his old speed and skill back! I mean,is Mayweather really that good of a trainer,I was just watching the Oscar Vargaas fight and his instructions were a load of crap really!!

    you're on fire, boyo!!

lets give oscar his dues, he has been a great fighter....first title after 12 fights? champ in countless divisions, great stuff...

its swings and roundabouts though and oscars time at the centre of things is fading....there are other fights with fighters coming through that i want to see....

i dont want oscar anywhere near PBF, especially if he beats mayorga but doesnt look all that good.....

what am i saying anyway? im expecting mayorga to put an end to this comeback campaign...

Mayorga's gonna knock the gel out of it And it will go natural and curly Oscar will finish this fight with an afro.

Oscar was beaten by Felix Sturm in a Gimmie fight. Mayorga knocked Pichirillo down constantly and clearly won, and he didn't look as bad as Oscar looked. Actually, the Mayorga that fought Pichirillo would destroy the DLH that fought Sturm

Are you serious?? The MAyorga that fought Picerillo would destroy the DLH that fought Sturm... Sturm is a world class middleweight.. Picerillo was a blown up welter who was never word class... Why is it that you assume every fighter on earth has multiple identitys?? I hate it.. How many times do we have to hear you say, oh well the boxer that tied his shoes this way on november 15th/2005 would definetly beat the DLH that wipes his ass with 2 ply toilet paper.. I mean come on just give it a break.. Fighters are fighters they don't have multiple styles or just wake up each day a different fighter.. I know it's a nice excuse for you since your a judah fan, but part of being a champion and a world class athlete is consistensy, I think usually if a fighter performs very differently than they normally do it has more to do with what their opponent gives them, not what side of the bed they woke up on as you would like to think.

Starr, your comments and posts are almost always intelligent and reasonable. Do you personally dislike Oscar or do you actually think that Mayorga is going to punish him? If Oscar keeps to his game plan...he will methodically destroy Mayorga. They have both been inactive for sometime...but Oscar is BY FAR the better boxer, is as strong if not stronger, and has just as good a chin as Mayorga. And when it comes to ring smarts...well....Mayorga and smarts just don't go together. Even if Oscar completely gives up on his game plan and goes to war with Mayorga...I still would give the edge to Oscar. He is just a flat out better boxer. Unless he comes in totally careless and rusty....this will be a one sided mismatch.

It goes one of two way's

    1 Mayorga Knockout before 6
    2 De La Hoya UD

I don't understand why people think De La Hoya in a knockout, he has only one knockout in all of his mega fights and that was against Vargas. Mayorga has only been knocked out once and that was against Trinidad which he stood toe to toe with for eight rounds and took Trinidads best blows showing a granite chin. No other boxer from 160 down could have took that punishment including De La Hoya who ran from Trinidad the last 4 rounds and backed up the whole fight, or Hopkins who was very keen on staying on the outside and not letting Trinidad set his feet. So why in the hell would you expect a De La Hoya knockout.

Consistensy are you fucking kidding me

De La Hoya Vs Whitaker- 85 percent of the boxing public believed Whitaker won the fight, ended in controversy
De La Hoya Vs Quartery- Many boxing anaylst believe Quartey won the fight, ended in controversy
De La Hoya Vs Trinidad- De La Hoya gives away the fight and cries about the decision, ended in controversy
De La Hoya Vs Mosley 1- Mosley wins 8 out 12 rounds and some how one of the judges scores the bout for De La Hoya, after the fight De La Hoya claims that he won the fight to the media and say's that boxing is corrupt, ended in controversy
De La Hoya Vs Vargas- De La Hoya only great performance in any of his mega fights finally not ending in controversy
De La Hoya Vs Mosley 2- De La Hoya loses close fight and claims that he will appeal the decision to the boxing council, fight ends in controversy
De La Hoya Vs Sturm- Sturm out boxes De La Hoya for 12 rounds and lands many more punches yet De La Hoya gets decision, fight ends in controversy and De La Hoya does not expect for Sturm to go through boxing council
De La Hoya Vs Hopkins- Get's knocked out by a body shot to the kidney. After the fight say's he had an excuse because Hopkins was a bigger fighter even thought the boxing public did not give Felix Trinidad the benefit of the doubt of being a smaller fighter when he lost to Hopkins.
Only thing consistent about De La Hoya is controversy and it will end when he get's knocked out on Saturday

Yep, good breakdown. Many of Oscar's fights have been controversial. This hopefully will not be one of them, GO MAYORGA! And P4P king, all knowing and wise Mayorga hater, fighters can be inconsistent and differnt versions can show up. Look at Roberto Duran. He lost to some nobodies, and destroyed some superstars. He was inconsistent, and also a legend.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
