hahaha, you got your rep..
I understand the whole idea behind it, by WHY a sled? I think that the whole sled thing was the only flaw in this almost perfect movie.. I mean, it's a great flick, I just wish it was a teddy bear or something haha.. I think they also allude to the sled in a really cheesy way in the beginning.. like when they say he hit someone with a sled, and when he pushes the guy away at the beginning with the sled..
I guess i just don't see a child being attached to a sled.. that's all.
well to me it works perfectly. i mean look today how many hard core skaters, snowboarders, surfers etc we have in our youth? to these kids this is their life.
i mean if u ever meet a hard core surfer he/she will tell u surfing and riding waves is the only meaningful thing to them.
the kid even uses it to protect himself as he hits the man with his sled that really shows how much he loves/feels his sled as a kid.
i understood it buddy it worked fine for me
The only problem is..
Kane wasn't a surfer.. and the sled was a snow sled.. not a skateboard or surfboard.. so that theory doesn't work haha..
I think you're missing my point.. This has nothing to do with professional surfers loving their surf board, it has to do with relating to something you felt close to as a child, and i've never heard anyone say "man, i remember that first snow sled i had, it was called .... " But people have security blankets, and stuffed animals, etc..
This has nothing to do with surfers or skateboarders considering that is not what Kane was.. If it was known that he was a professional snow sledder at the Winter X-Games then maybe you're onto something![]()
yes but the sled represents his innocent, protected, fun, loving, secure happy childhood. to him the sled is his: (skateboard, surf board, tedd bear, blanket etc)
the point is everyone kept thinking oh is it a first love, some ho he banged? some car, some extravagant thang, but no it was the complete opposite. something that money could not buy!
now ya feelin me buddy!
just out of curiousity buddy what would have been your "rosebud"? from your real life child hood?
mine would most likely be this bike i had when i was a kid. i rode that bike EVERYWHERE! been thru some great adventurous time with my boys on that thing.
i wont describe it in terms of colors and such cause it would probably make me look gay ahah hey it was the 80's lol
