How is Shannon Briggs doing?

I looked on boxrec.com and from his recent fights things look to be going well (doesn't always mean anything). A while back someone on the forum said Briggs was a huge puncher, unfortunately I've never seen him fight. Does anyone see him giving Wlad, Liakhovich, or any other top 10 HWs trouble?

in a word, yes.. IMO he stands more chance then anyone to give Wlad trouble, because he is of similar size and is a very big puncher, who also knows how to punch and box.. I think Shannons problem is motivation, I seriously doubt he is hungry enough to get into his best shape and challenge Wlad.. That's why he was looking for easier fights against names, like Peter or Tua.. As for Liokavich, I don't even know how good he is so I may even favour Briggs to beat him.. We've only really seen him fight Brewster who is a very limited and quite small HW.. Briggs is tall with a good reach and is a much better boxer. I think Briggs is pretty much the only wildcard left in the division, he could be a spoiler but I doubt he wants it enough.

His new trainer is Mayweather Sr, To my knowledge. Briggs said he has finally buckleddown and is taking things serious. I think he would give Wlad a lot of trouble, But I think my man Wlad could pull it out. I could see Briggs knocking out, Rahman, Toney, Liaowich and a couple more. just don't know..........I never got over the Lewis incident......had him reeling and then managed to get himself KOed at the moment of truth. I would really like to see him fight Rahman. I think that would be a good fight.

I was ridiculously high on Briggs in the mid 90s....

But he has had far too many chances, he just seems to choke on the pressure when the big fights come around; and I do not see that changing.

But you can never count out a punchers chance. I would love to an hope to see Wlad knock out everybody until he retires. He is my most fav fighter right now.

If Briggs trains seriosly, he has a shot at beating any heavy today. He can punch, and take some punches, but will he be conditioned?
