    Yes to all the above posts. Lots of good points in this thread. Unfortunately some motherfunking state athletic board somewhere will always sanction a fight.

    It basically comes down to..(and I said this about Tommy Morrison as well)...If you can pass the physical you can fight.....There are no other guide lines...though there should be....a few I always thought should be mandatory to be able to fight as a pro were....

    1. You must have some sort of amateur experience..No less then 10 fights...You can fight in the amateurs until you are 39...IMO guys should get a feel on what they are up against even if at a miniscule level

    2. A fighter who developes a massive slur brought on by boxing or has been Ko'd more then 5 times in 2 yrs should not be licensed

    3. Once a medical suspension is issued it is permenent

    It'd be great if they could do something like that but I'm not holding my breath.

    Maybe its time to introduce a mandatory retirement age in Boxing. These guys are just doing themselves and the sport more damage.
