Is Mayorga good or bad for boxing?

I think he is a side show but is entertaining to watch. I like all the hype he brings ( slapping Oscar) he's a pefromer. Its just for show and once Oscar kicks his ass he will say it was all for the buildup of the ppv. Mayorga is funny and is good for boxing. Sure he is disrespectful as I said it's all show and gets him big $ fights.

In every sport you have villians and heroes. If it helps bring exposure without consequences, then it can only be good. Win or lose, Mayorga adds flavor. It helps that he can fight.

Hey, the guys never been suspended for doing anything stupid. He's basically a character. And he's interesting to us cuz while he smokes, and talks more trash than Ali, he can also knock guys out.

I vote, he's good for boxing.

Mayorga is a character. Without outrageous characters like Mayorga boxing is just like any other sport. Good

I think the man is definately good for boxing. If nothing else he brings a entertaining style to the ring with his great chin and power.

You can never have enough black hats. Mayorga and Vargas have done good jobs selling PPVs and they are entertaining in the ring as well

I think he's a total douche bag...can't stand him one bit...but Unknowndonor's way of looking at it makes sense.

Still think he's shat though.

Yeah I agree, you don't need everybody to be choirboys, guys like Mayorga spice things up a bit. The only time I thought he seriously crossed the line was with the Spinks' mom quote but he seemed to be pretty respectful to Spinks after the fight. Otherwise I think he's usually kind of funny.
