Tune out the punch stats ,There over rated. I think they should fight a third but would it sell
I'm not talking compubox stats just from watching the fight. Yes Taylor didn't let Pavlik put him on the ropes like the first fight but Pavlik was going forward for most of the fight. When Taylor got tired he went to the ropes and Pavlik won those rounds (the last 3). Taylor came forward and was valiant but he lost the fight, he got hit more than he hit the other guy, that's it.

Apparently Wacko has a life or something Yes, we want him back, but give the guy a break, he was doing every fight every weekend for awhile...

I had Pavlik winning a close, very competitive fight. 115-113 is about right, 116-112 would be OK too.

I don't get the people who are criticizing Jermain and saying he was gun-shy. I thought he fought very well for someone who had been KO'd 4 months ago by the same opponent. He fought very well but ran out of gas towards the end.

Pavlik never did anything spectacular but he was consistently active and effective. It was a workmanlike performance.

Overall, it was a good fight and both guys performed well.

As you can see from rbr I had Taylor ahead by about 3 points at one point. In my opinion though Pavlik swept the latter rounds and won by a single point on my card.

Interestingly the judges cards are up on fightnews and all three had Pavlik sweeping the last 3 - 5 rounds. He was behind on all cards up to those last rounds which was exactly my assessment as well.

The more accurate, sharper punches were landed by Taylor, however the volume and consistent output were with Pavlik.

I think 115-113 was about right, I scored it 115-114 I think as I had one round even.

Very tough fight to score but certainly no robbery. And for the record even Taylor has said he respects the decision.
