That scorecard right there is or I should say, should be an automatic revoking of his judging licence. Abysmal, shocking and apalling. Getting the fighters mixed up isn't really an excuse for a judge:if he doesn't know which was which, he shouldn't have been judging the fight in the first place. Really pathetic.

Agreed. Theres simply no demand for accountability when this happens.Everyone just shrinks away after some boo's and the occasional commentators calling It a shite call etc.Afterwards this leech and obvious inept man will swagger over to judge another fight with his Incompetence and blind disregard for reality and fairness.
The ones who can keep the light on these fools are we... the fans.To bad we dont have his e-mail ?

    Craziness.

I remember Britkid telling me about some fight in Germany where the non-German fighter was winning handily so the judges scored 11 even rounds and gave the last to the hometown fighter but this is the craziest shit I've ever seen.

Did the HBO guys says anything after the scores were announced? Usually Lampley and Merchant will say something when there's a scorecard that's out of whack.

I was watching via Setanta, so it was actually the Top Rank commentary I got.
They didn't say anything about the source although they speculated on it quite a bit.
Neither did Michael Buffer, do you think he did that conciously as he thought the Judge may have been in for criticism for it?

Yeah they said some things like "Say what?, did I hear right? We'll assume he got the fighters mixed up" than they moved on.

I think there is no excuse. First, there is no way that fight could be scored 120 - 108 for Mijares as Navarro clearly won a couple of rounds. So getting the fighters mixed up is bullsh**

As far as I'm concerned, this guy was just chugging down drinks and flirting with the ring card girls during the fight and just filled out the card after the bell. And I'm being nice here and giving him the benefit of the doubt by not calling him currupt.

This is blatant incompetence and I expect to hear about an investigation into this because it is all in the open, we all know about it so if nothing is done it is the Las Vagas Boxing Commission (or whatever they call it) who I will consider incompetent.
