So you're facing a non-military threat from terrorists. Still no reason to have a military. Nobody could afford to invade you apart from the States. The only reason to have a military is if you think they're going to invade. They don't even need to invade because the American-arse-licking brigade in the Canadian parliament already signed Canada up to allowing them first dibs at your own oil resources before you get a chance to buy it. So you don't even face a military threat from the States now.

Terrorist threats are no reason to have a militaryWho would attempt to stop them then, our unarmed border guards?
There are plenty of other reasons to have a military aside from turning back an expected invasion, and just because there are no threats currently facing a country does not mean that there will not be threats in the future.

You're not going to get invaded by terrorists. You don't stop them with a military, they're an intelligence and police threat. Every available American and British soldier has been in Iraq for the last five years and created the world centre of terrorism while terrorism has increased worldwide by thousands of percent, while handing control of the world's second-largest oil reserve to an axis-of-evil terrorist nation. So clearly the military isn't the way to go on this one.
Canada faces zero threat of invasion now that it's handed the rights to its natural resources over to America. Now or in the future. It's just too cold and really not worth the bother or the expense.
I've been to Whistler though and it was nice. My girlfriend loves British Columbia flower exports too.
Let's just stop this insanity right now....it's not FREE healthcare...it's paid for by the tax payers....don't get fooled!
Something does need to be done about the health insurance issue it needs to be corrected but the quality of treatment we have in America is pretty fucking good....it's just expensive. Look at successful treatment rates for cancer, any kind of cancer between the US and any other country....we usually come out on top. Now all we have to do is make this kind of care affordable to the masses and it needs to have reasonable policies in regards to how policies are handled, that's the big issue. Right now people get sick and the insurance companies or health groups can say "See ya later chump" and they are stuck without insurance OR the person can just get fired and that ends their health benefits OR they die and their family is left shit out of luck unless one of them has health insurance coverage from somewhere else.

....well compare us to England if you want to, our successful treatments for certain types of cancer are better.
Or better yet compare us to the lovely magical land of Cuba.
Quality of life, treatments, preventative measures, and success rates in America are hard for any country to compete with. All that needs to change is the health insurance part of the problem
