Convince me to get a PS3

Awesome.. I'm going to have a think about that too... Usually the really good games get released on both and it would be a HUGE bonus being able to mod it out..

I also spend almost 24 hours a day download movies and tv series and stuff so being able to get that onto tv easier would be awesome over watching them on my laptop..

Yes, xbox is getting thrown into the mix, and is half the price of PS3 here I beleive

The new Metal Gear, and Resident Evil will be out this year. Thats all the reason you need.

I bought a wii just for resident evil 4 even though i've finish it mulitple times on gamecube. Im just that addicted to Resident Evil. Well that other game which is first person view on wii. I didn't like, I never really like first person view mode thats why. Im now just waiting for the newest resident evil to come out on ps3.

Blu-Ray just won the HD war and PS3 plays Blu-Ray movies. Plus, it's cheaper than an actual Blu-Ray player.

I put my money towards a good HDTV before buying a PS3. Get the big stuff first.

Agreed. PS3 is a very practical gaming device.

Resident Evil is out on 360 as well plus a load of other top games Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto 4 or whatever it will be upto, Bioshock, Alan Wake etc

Plus the 360 will have a Blu Ray player in May which will operate as a standalone. Although you buy it seperately it's actually a better way to do it imo as you won't be using it to play games on as well.

Drives can wear out a lot quicker if you use them for everything.

Where is the info that FNR4 will be released?

Anyway, that PrizeFighter game comes out on Xbox360 and not PS3 as far as i know..

Anyway, Dizaster, I just started playing God of War for PS2, my cousin let me borrow it.. I haven't played a console game, or really and game in years but this one looked interesting and my cousin was really hyping up 1 and 2.. he said when i'm done with 1 to get 2 from him.. I'm only about a half hour or so in, just curious on your review of the game.

Come on guys someone convince me also that this is a good buy

One of my kids has a birthday coming up and i was relying on the PS3 to bail me out

as the spoilt little brats already have everyother console on the market, all the handheld ones and a laptop each

i risisted the urge to get them one for christmas as i didnt fancy seeing �50 disks getting trodden on by my new years visiting nepews and nices... but now i'm really struggling.

are you guys saying don't buy the PS3

If your at all technical Saddo get a 360. Just learn to mod it, my brother has done loads it's easy apparently and you never have to pay for any games.

God of War is probably my favourite console game of all time! THe fighting is great fun, the levels are awesome, graphics is great, story is great, actually takes a little while to finish and isn't over to quickly, leave you hanging for more... I love the atmosphere of it as well i.e. the settings of ancient greece and some of the larger worlds you can just get right into...

And trust me, God of War 2 doubles number 1 in every way when your up to it..

What do you think of it so far??

So far i just beat the first "level", the hydra.. And I REALLY like the atmosphere but I need to play it more to see how i like it.. A lot of games like that get redundant and you feel like you're just continuing to kill hordes of guys after hordes of guys etc..

I actually really enjoyed the old "Tomb Raider" games because there was a LOT of figuring out to do, and you could spend hours on just one level.. So not only did you have some cool weapons and vehicles and environments, but there was a lot of puzzle solving also.. God of War seems a little more straight forward which is good and bad..

But I heard that #2 is awesome.

Went PS3 early January and just got rid of my xbox 360 last week

Got the PS3 set up on a home network so stream movies through it and my music along with playlists. Set this up in minutes whereas with the 360 I couldn't get it to work at all.

As they say online is free too - do admit though the games are not as good as 360 YET but that will change. Never been into having more than one console. Just finished Drake's Fortune which was a great game - was really hoping for a new Fight Night but don't look like its going to happen.

Anyway might be moving soon and here's what I am thinking of getting when I do as will finally have room for one
