    Default Your Bucket List

Ok I haven't seen the movie but I've seen it advertised and decided it's not a bad idea to have a 'bucket list'. A list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket.

I must be an incredibly boring person though because I haven't been able to think of many things. Anyone else got ideas for what they'd put on their own bucket lists?

Here's mine so far in no particular order:

    1) Learn to surf - i'm Australian and I don't know how - Disgusting.

    2) See the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru, Crocs in the NT, Tassie national parks - all the Australian wildlife I haven't seen yet despite knowing a large percentage of Japanese tourists have! Disgusting not knowing your own country as well as a tourist.

    3) Run another marathon or two

    4) Continue boxing - hopefully get some more international experience

    5) Learn to rock climb - I'm a bit scared of heights - I think it'd be good for me

    6) Get good seats at a really big name pro boxing bout

    7) White water rafting through some kind of exotic rainforest - just looks fun

    8. Coach some kind of kids sport - I know it can mean a lot to kids to have one thing they enjoy even when other things are not going well. Might be may way of kinda giving back something.

    9) Still thinking ..........

    Ideas?

lol you'd be very welcome buddy seriously. I love the UFO hotspot idea, I think I'd like to mount an expedition to find a living dinosaur.

Most of your goals you could achieve right now Sharla, maybe try and aim for crossing one off every six months.

I'd like to take up rock climbing myself, it seems to be a great discipline and teaches you a lot about yourself.

I like how all your goals are physical or involve travel. You seem to stubbornly refuse to engage in anything 'girlie'.

How about for a simple goal, 'wear a dress and put on some make up' just to see what it's like

I have four boys. I dont think its unreasonable to expect to see at least one of them achieve sporting greatness before I die.

Let's just hope they havn't inherited your chronic laziness hey Memphis.

I don't know, wanting your children to achieve on your behalf, that's the real lazy man's response

My own goals would be inherit a large sum of money or win the lottery

    Great thread Sharla:

    1) I want have at least 5 pro fights.
This is so achievable for me and I feel I'd regret it for the rest of my life If I don't taste the professional game
    2) I want to travel to the US and Mexico.
Having been there before I'd love to return to the US. I think I'll be going to Mexico later this year.
    3) I want to finish my higher degree.
I'm in the process of achieving this, but man I wish it was done!
    4) I want to have my own house.
I'm not going to rent again, need to have my own place and I have my own wishes of what it will be like.
    5) Make sure my girlfiend& my baby always have what they need&want.
This is probably the most important for me, but once the degree is ticked off and the house is ticked off, it'll be easy.
    6) Want to do a bit of boxing Journalism and training
I've just completed the trainers course and I've wrote a few bits for another website so God-willing I can achieve these.

I have actually worn a dress and makeup a couple of times. It's seriously over rated but you're welcome to try yourself if you don't believe me It's not that I don't like looking girly - it just doesn't go well with other things I do so it only happens when I have the day or evening off and i'm not spending it recovering at home.

Good thing you and Boxing Gorilla have found a way to merge your goal of living in a ufo hotspot. A living Dinosaur - aren't some animals like the platypus and large deep sea turtle something like that?

Now that sounds tricky since technically it depends on someone elses actions - unless you become a professional poker player or something.

Yeah I guess putting an age limit on it is good because it means you can motivate yourself to do what you can ASAP. I'm not the only one that likes marathons

I think your goals are pretty good hitmandonny. I mean I can see how you already on track for most of them. You're a focused person whereas until I thought about this list I wasn't really on track to do some of my goals - like seeing more of Australia. It's one of those things I'd forget just because I think I can do it any time!

Looks like we have a few astute authors at Saddos Maybe you can just meet a hot chick you like and ask her to dye her hair blonde for you My brother races motorbikes for fun sometimes - it's expensive to build the bikes etc but he loves it!

I've never heard of this hotel - swish is it? Being a pilot could be good - lots of cheap travel.

I would have put own my own place down on my list but I'm not sure how realistic that is if I ultimately want to settle back here in Australia. Housing prices just keep going up and up!

Hey Clubber, I have to wait till I'm 18 till I start my flying lessons, I have to take the PPL (Private Pilot's licence), a theory test and then a CPL (Commercial Pilot's licence) and it's pretty expensive but the flying school looks amazing, has a 97% pass rate and my parents say they'll put some money towards it for me and I can pay it back (Commercial Pilot's earn 70K a year). I originally wanted to join the RAF but I can't as I need glasses rarely i.e. looking at things in the far distance so I'm gonna go with lessons.

BTW Clubber I've been on two cruises with Royal Carribean. One in the 06 year round France, Spain and Italy and one last year round Turkey, Greece and Croatia. Seriousley man they are something else, totally awesome and as for shit like you feel the boat moving it's nonsense, those boats weight damm loads and you can't feel a thing. Not only do you not get bored as your visiting a different country every day (How great is that) the ship I was on - Royal Carribean Splendour of the seas - had a fucking Rock Climbing Wall on, Mini Golf, running track, table tennis etc it was FANTASTIC!!!!
