Round 8:

Hard to disagree with VD that this is the worst clash for a world title this year. Klit jabs, comes forward, takes a gentle body shot then they clinch. Good right hand from Klit. Left hook sends Ibrag over, but he seemed to trip and the ref says as much. Klit with another straight right, and the crowd arefinally getting into it. Ibrag leads with a jab then ducks into a clinch before he can get caught. Klit comes in and misses, Ibrag misses the return. Klit lands a right. Ibrag looks to loop a wide left hook in. Klit with a jab.

Klit again.

Round 9:

In this fight, I have had time to realise that Klit is one letter swap away from Kilt. Ibrag swings a huge left hook that misses by a distance. Good jab and right from Klit, and Ibrag sags into the ropes, which keep him up. And as soon as a door opens, the caginess returns. Ibrag misses narrowly with a lungnig right hook. Back to the kilt...who is the best boxer who didn't wear shorts, but rather had the kilt type short set? Anyhoo, Klit lands two jabs, and Ibrag bcks off. Ibrag with a body shot, and not exactly setting the world alight. However, Klit is also dull enough himself, but deadly efficient.

Round 10:

Ibrag has 3 rounds to find the KO. Klit working the jab, and only the jab. Ibrag seems scared of Klit, who avoids any attempts by Ibrag to get close and negate the jab. Ibrag is left with swinging wildly. Frustrated, Ibrag lunges in, and rugby tackles Klit to the floor, and the ref berates him. Jabs well from Klit. Right hook from Ibrag in the clinch, but Klit unfussed. Body shot and left hook from Ibrag. Jabs from Klit are good, and Ibrag gets inside again, but clinched. Body shot from Ibrag just about glances Klit.

Round 11:

Klit uses...surprise surprise a jab. Klit's jab ducked, and Ibrag gets to the body before clinching. Another clinch. Despite an encouraging word from his corner, Klitschko is not going otu for the victorty any more than he previously did. Klit still jabbing, and Ibrag pushing most of them away. He can't get inside either, which has made for a dreary bout. Klit's jab has won him an unified title, even if the bout's been dull. Big right has Ibrag reeling on the bell, but he gets back to his corner, with 180 seconds to go.

Round 12:

Klit utilises the jab. Ibrag looks to throw a body shot from long distance and falls short. Klit looks to hit down as Ibrag ducks. No point changing the plan of the evening and pumps out the jab once more. A heavyweight unification fight should really be an exciting battle between two guys, whilst in this one they seem to have barely picked off each other's pawns. Sadly, with 60 secs to go, Ibrag has nothing and Klit has little more. Klit is tall but dull, whilst Ibrag is game but one-dimensional. Klit jabs a couple more times. A chorus of boos as the fight draws to a close, and the crowd are warrented in jeering the tired action they saw this evening.
