Their would be MANY past champions rolling over in their graves if they knew this is what their division has come down to..
Hey the last pudgy southpaw Wladimir fought was a DANGEROUS fighter.....and props to Sultan for taking those shots, he has a better chin than I thought.

Fighting a southpaw like Chris Byrd is one thing, fighting a southpaw with power is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT ANIMAL!

Wlad is a pussy, who dosent throw straight rights against a southpaw a gun shy wuss thats who... and its to bad that he refuses to assert himself when he knows damn well he could have dominated.. that exchange were he landed the 4 punch combo that should have been a knock down was proof.. Wlad could have doubled up the jab and then launched the right behind it..

It may well be a different animal, but Klit used his jab as the sort of tazer to keep the animal from getting too cold. I think that boy could do with a few fights against some of our old guard, to keep him busy.

Maybe Tony Booth might ruffle his feathers a little

After all of Max Kellerman's talk of "Did THIS FIGHT make Klit the world known heavyweight champion?"

He said that like 10 times.. I was hoping he'd suggest that Lennox comes out of retirement and beats Wlad, so that we know who the "WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP" is, and Max Kellerman will be able to fall asleep at night.. god damn.

No he was not. Based on what? His draw with Austin? His win over the ready-for-the casket Holyfield? Or his win over "Goofy" Whitaker?

    Fightnews quotes 118-110, 119-110 and 117-111.
that was hard mate so no shame in losing focus.... everyone don't foget to rep this guy

You guys obviously don't realize that this was one of the last steps to Wlad coming "full circle" as it were.

Wlad had a skeleton in his closet and that skeleton was a power punching southpaw.

Wlad just showed he can take one on and take him down.

Yeah but you said fighting a southpaw with power was different. Sultan is not known as a power hitter. Even the HBO crew was saying that

He's got 17 KO's in 22 wins.....he had enough power to KO Lance Whittaker and landed a BOMB on Ray Austin.

This is why everyone hates southpaws!

Anyhow, Klit is one step on the way to unifying the world title, and if he does get another of the champs then hopefully he might actually look to be even more offensive.

I think Povetkin would be a good safe fight for him next.

As far as other title holders....I can only hope Valuev beats Chagaev in the rematch

    again,

klitschko was landing the jab and looking for the opening to follow it, it wasnt coming cuz sultan moves his head after he is hit, also he pulls up the left and shoulder rolls

sultans awkward stance also made it easy for him to shift his head after he was hit with a jab, he would go down and to the right of klitschko and raise his left, and it gave klitschko an odd angle

sultan can find a way to hit someone from an odd angle and klitschko was being carefull not to miss a right hand and let sultan have an easy counter

sultans style makes him hard to hit and klitschko likes to pull back the left and exchange it for the right, and there was no opportunity as the left would come back and sultan was in another place

i think klitschko was afraid of going all out and getting caught with a hook, people are being so anti-klitschko cuz they think sultan was an easy fight, alot of underestimating has been going on lately
