Wlad played it smart with a dangerous fighter. Sultan arose to the level needed to pull off a win but Wlad being very cautious never gave him the opening he needed and at the same time Sultan was also being cautious not to get ko'd by the right .

I respect it like hell when a fan of a fighter can say: "My fighter looked like shit last night." Unfortunately, it doesn't happen very often.

Mistake to say that Wlad was scared. Maybe 'cautious' but not scared. His trainer and Vitali were telling him to throw the right more but he didn't, because it seemed to me he knows that if Sultan had caught him on the chin clean, it would of done damage.
He went in, owned the fight, and won. That's what counts.
I think he was being careful because against other guys Sultan was very good at timing their jab and countering it with a hard left hand. I think Wlad should have pulled it out more after the sixth round, but he never seemed to find the right rhythym to throw it repeadedly.

Sultan is no push over he can adapt to any fighter and any style so Wlad had to be cautious and Sultan had to be very awkward last night for obvious reasons.

he won the fight without hardly throwing the right hand because he didn't need to throw it, he won it with a jab alone
