I gotta disagree on some of the words you use. I have issues when people use some words like; great, bum, robbed.
JuanMa has a good jab, Wladdy has a great jab.
JuanMa has a good jab, Jr. Jones had a great jab.
JuanMa has a good jab, Holmes had a great jab.

I still see JuanMa as a prospect. I stopped blowing smoke up boxers ass too early in their careers as I learned my lesson when I was hailing 'Panchito' Bojado as the next big thing. Believe here Rican I like JuanMa as a boxer the kids got talent but I just feel it'll be too much to soon.
I agree with you CutMeMick and i share your opinion , but Juanma with Ponce de Leon have a chance , i saw some videos fight of De Leon and he has very poor defense and slow, there both are good southpaw and hard pucher , but for me Juanma surpass him in that skills , is interesting to see what will happen in that fight like TitoFan said...

Bautista had speed and skills over PDL.
The talk was that Reys speed would give PDL problems.
By any means Am I comparing Rey to JuanMa I'm just saying that talent is only a part of it. You still gotta get in the ring and execute it.

I would be scared to put ANYONE in the ring with Ponce De Leon simply because he has power that would carry 5 divisions above him.

However, Juan Manuel Lopez time to become a star has to come eventually. The guy is just to good. I haven't yet seen him and not been blown away. His main problem is that he knows he's good and sometimes he'll just walk straight forward or not create space for his punches.

2008 should be the year of JML, I thought 2007 was going to be. 122 is a stacked division but he has the potential to run right through it especially after letting Vazquez and Marquez beat the hell out of each other.

One of the most explosive fighters in all of boxing right now, I think JML is a P4P star one day.

I've been saying it for some time now. Juanma will beat Pnce de Leon. He is the future of the division.

Maybe I should clarify myself here.
I don't see JuanMa beating PDL anytime soon.
JuanMas got 21 fights under his belt his best opponent is D Class opponent. I say he fights some C and B Class opponents then we'll see how he handles a World Champion.
If JuanMa can continue to win and step up his quality of opposition I would see no means to say "He can't beat PDL".... IF he can do that...

It would be a great fight but 2 things:diss Ponce all you want(he is very very flawed but he has 2 things few have out there combined:P4P power and a rock solid jaw. And Juanma has not faced anyone with either of those 2. Don't get me wrong,I like the look of him but put him in with Ponce now and he loses imo.The only guys who have been able to beat Ponce/make him look bad are guys with like 10 inch height advantage(Celestino) and counter punchers who are rugged(Penelosa) or just look to survive and run(Ponce's last fight). At some point,if they were to fight,Juanma would get overly confident, stand and trade and he would lose that battle.

Give Juanma a few fights with guys with either really good power or solid chins, let's see how well he fares and mayeb then he should fight Ponce. Don't make the mistake Boom Boom did!
