Refs take a lot of criticism... but try and name the big fights of the last ~10 years or so that have truly been affected by the referee. The list won't be very long at all.

The fact that people keep bringing up Cortez is a joke. Mayweather didn't beat Ricky Hatton because of Joe Cortez, he beat Hatton because he's heads and shoulders above Hatton as a prizefighter.

Mayweather did beat Ricky Hatton because of Joe Cortez.
When Joe deducted a point from Ricky when Floyd ducked below the waist line as Ricky was charging in, Floyd allowed himself to be pushed throw the ropes as ricky was charging and had momentum. THE FACT is! The so called punch to the back of the head NEVER even landed. By then, Ricky knew the cards were stacked and that is why he gave Floyd his back and motioned to Floyd and Joe to come and phuk him in the @ss because that was basicly all there was left for Joe and Floyd to do.

Joe was not doing his job and was showing favortism towards Floyd.

    Head and Shoulders above Ricky?

Surely you ment Elbows and below Ricky's Waistline as a prize fighter.

Frustration and some foolishness beat Ricky Hatton.

He should have never let Floyd lure him into the corner over and over again.
That was a big mistake by Ricky but had this been another ref, a ref who was doing his job, the out come might have been a little different. It has to be hell fighting a weasle who is getting help from a ref who is either turning a blind eye or just being incompetent.

    Keep telling yourself that.

Just because Hatton is still living in denial, it doesn't give his fans an excuse to do the same.
