I gotta start a thesis, I need to submit a proposal for tuesday week and I need one book to do the proposal, but that book isn't arriving til wednesday week.

Got an International tomorrow, and I've been told that if I ever want to be anything it's a must win.

    Plenty of tangents huh? LoL
That sucks, but I know the feeling. I spent 6 months working on a new programme for work and because I was off work with my mum for a week, someone tried to get to go to the launch event of this programme instead of me to take credit for it. I came back and went ape shit. They agreed I should go...event went great...Luke gets credit.

What happened to you would piss me off, and I'd be suttle about it but I'd let someone know about the hard work you put in. Either that or make sure you have proof the work is yours in future. Like a copy of the email you sent to him...or just a small reference to you that makes it clear its yours.

As for being a pro boxer, if its something you want, then you should go for it. In fact it wouldn't matter what people told me, I'd push for it. Even if it doesn't work on in the international, I'm not buying that would be your only oppertunity to make it. Look at Fat Skelton...no amateur fights. Or Andrade the Super-Middle, who has a fucking terrible amateur record. It doesn't matter that one guy has told you that, there will always be oppertunities.

    Hey mate,

Glad you got your dues, credit where credit is due mate....

I'm fair sick today, awfully sick and more pressure for this thesis muck

I need a holiday On the plus side I won on Sunday, I smeared the gym with the guys blood to be honest and I think I opened a few avenues for myself.

Good for you. That must be an Irish fighting spirit you have, lol. Holidays are hard to come by when you got a kid on the way. Just a break would be nice though eh? Just take a weekend away, it'd prob do you the world of good.

How you sick? Flu? Or more like sars?

All is ok. I applied for another job in the NHS today. Tis much closer to home.

    Hows things with you?

By the way, we really must discuss the Hatton vs. Lazcano fight. Firstly...are you going? Secondly do you think this is a good move? I read that they're very close to getting Paulie on the undercard to this to setup a megafight later this year in NYC at the Garden. Should Paulie pull out of this plan, Torres will be brought in and Hatton will fight Torres in Vegas. Either way, Ricky for a 140 title by the year end. What you think?

Glad to hear everything is OK mate, and it's good that your going home, it would be even worse if you felt seperated from your family.

By and large everythin is ok, my GF is doing really well and baby is dead healthy, my Dad went in for a bunch of tests sterady, but hopefully it's something minor.

I think Hatton Lazcano is not a bad idea and may provide a better fight than we expect. I feel that Ricky needs a confidence builder and Lazcano has been weakened enough to provide a decent win, whilst still giving a reasonable fight. Obviously I favour Ricky by KO but the hispanic, may just take him for a run first.

After that I heard rumopur sof Paulie being next, I feel either Paulie or Torres is the right idea as they atee both winnable fights and not the hardest (witter is the toughest task available) If Ricky gets through all the above, then he'll be in flying form for a bout with Witter, which I anticipate half way through next year...

I can't go in May because the baby is due on the 28th!!!!!

Well how inconsiderate is that? If it were me, I'd stick my head up there and tell it to stay in for a couple of extra weeks so you can go to the fight!

I'm torn between what is the toughest fight out there. I have a concern with what Ricky has said about Witter. I hope he doesn't have it in his mind that Witter has a chance because as soon as you concede that you might as well not show up. Hatton would cream him on his best day, but I wanna see him recover from the lost before going in there with Junior.

I'm gunna try and make my way to the Hatton fight, but I know getting tickets will be a struggle, so I'll see what I can do. Only a week and a half till Haye vs. Macca. I can't wait. My only concern is that it could be over quick. I knew when I went to see Cotto-Mosley it would last at least until the later rounds and the undercard was great so I was always going to get my money's worth, but this is a gamble.
