First of all Leftlee and danny have no idea what they are talking about, Mayweather isn't most of the timing using his elbow to hit his opponent, he uses it to block a possible over hand right, and that is perfectly fine. However, when he creates distance with it, and when he creates distance by putting his glove on his opponent's collarbone its illegal. Also where is the rule you can bend below the waist? IF you avoiding a punch you can bend as low as you want.

I agree however that Cortez was breaking them up to quickly when Hatton had Mayweather on the ropes, however IMO that was more to Hatton's advantage because Mayweather was kicking his ass off the ropes. Why should Mayweather be criticized when guys like Evander Holyfield, Bernard Hopkins both lead in with their heads their whole career. I mean Holyfield deserved to get his ear bit IMO he was clashing heads with Tyson on purpose and thats bs. Same with all the shit Hopkins does, but thats why the pros is different from the amateurs. Watch Pep vs Saddler, watch many of the old school fighters and you will see they were cheap as hell.

Also why are you guys still complaining about Mayweather and fighting a true welterweight, who would beat him ? Margarito? Williams? give me a fucking break they couldn't hit him if he had his hands tied behind his back at this point. Cotto has a chance, but its a very slim because Mayweather is so good. That being said Cotto is known for throwing plenty of low blows when the going gets tough, and he throws more kidney shots than anyone, though I love it.

Thats how i see it... i never complained when Ricky took the title off KT so it would be hipocritical for me to complain now

    Yes I made these.

What bothers me are several things.

Everyone screaming Ricky is a cheater.
Floyd is a big cheater too.

We say that Brit refs are dirty. US refs are no better.

I will finish rounds 5 thru 10 when I have time.
The plot thickens and it get's worse. The best of this is yet to come.

Did you even watch the hatton-tszyu fight? Do you know that an intentional low blow is a mandatory two point deduction or dq? Did you know excessive clinching is a foul? Did you know headbutting is also a foul as well as elbows? Thats what tszyu got, the ref did him no favours and your bitchin about floyd being a cheater. Floyd uses his elbows...to make space not to hit opponents with unlike hatton.

I actually made my first comments on this post without watching the videos ( i was at work and they dont work)

After watching the viedeos i tend to feel a bit sorry for Ricky. It appears he was in a no win situation. Cortez went into the fight thinking Hatton was the dirty fighter. On the sly, Mayweather was the one doing the majority of the fouling.

Ricky chances went from around 20% to pretty much zero. When Floyd bends below the waist, nobody can hit him (if he tries that in WWE Hornswoggle will kick the living piss out of him ). Ducking below the waist initiates clinching because Hatton only has 2 choices, either don't punch or punch downwards. Once they're clinching, Floyd does the holding and applies the rough stuff. Over the course of the fight Cortez presumes Hatton is the one fouling.....and Ricky loses his head.

Now to me this actually highlights the fact that Mayweather is one of the smartest fighters i have ever seen. It only adds to his talents. The fact that he has so much natural ability and he has more tricks up his sleeve than even Bernard Hopkins is quite frightening.

I'm a big Hatton fan and i genuinely don't think he was given a fair crack at it, but you can't help but admire Floyd's tactics for this fight. He was far too cute and smart for both Ricky and Cortez.

I can't see how anybody will beat him. What would Cotto be able to do against that?

i gotta say great .... amean great video........ but all it does for me is show how smart floyd is..... ricky is not exactly the most righteous fighter out there........ floyd had to do what he had to do to beat ricky, he had to be rough and dirty to win and he did it and won..... rickys done it before. so has hopkins, ali, jones, calzaghe and alot of other great fighters....in boxing you have to do things to frustrate or wear down your opponent and if you can do it it without getting caught it just means your really good at what you do..... so this donest make me look down on floyd, just shows me how smart he is

Yeah mate i realise that but its just kinda hard to sit through post after post of someone saying that one of hattons opponents cheated against him. Hatton is just pissed off and his pride has been stomped all over coz he got beat at his own game.

Floyd would make a great Ice Hockey player!
Hatton shouldn't complain, he is no angel in the ring just ask KT!
