Don is a man whose misdeeds have been forgiven in the past as a result of the matches that he did provide.

However, it is my belief that King has only ever manipulated boxing in ways which serve his purposes and benefit him financially. Recently this has been illustrated by his handling of Lightweight Champ and future superstar, Juan Diaz.

In the past fighters as notable as Tyson have been blatantly twisted and turned as the meandering Mind of King sought new and innovative ways in which he could create finance.

It is my view that the man has no respect for the fight game, no respect for it's fighters and no respect for other human beings.

I think he must be an excellent businessman.. Other then that, I rreally have no basis to judge him... Sure he's done his share to ruin fighters in the past, and generally his fighters are not treated with their, or their fans interest at the forefront... But that's likely just part of what makes him a good businessman, he thinks for himself first as all in the business do. One things for sure, if I were a fighter I'd go with Bob Arum in a heartbeat... For one you can actually understand what he's saying, he's also been on a roll in recent years putting great cards together, and seems a bit less merciless with the way he treats his fighters. You could argue though, that a Don King type promoter is good for boxing fans, as I feel he is less reluctant to throw his fighters in against the odds.

Many people say that he's the worst human being out there and all but seriously, I can't think of ANY other promoter out there who came up with the fighting cards he brought us.

I remember when Chavez was under his wing and me and my family would order the fights and every single fight in the undercard were good matches and not some journeymen or a well-known guy against a journeyman.

Remember the "Revenge: The Rematches"? Nowadays, I would expect each of those fights in the undercard to be main events but nope, Don King put them in ONE CARD. Not bad, not bad.
