I feel the heavyweight division at the moment is the only division which has remained stagnant during boxing's "economic upturn" in the past couple of years.

A division could be composed of all the most talented fighters in the world, but if the crucial fights are not made it will not benefit from their capabilities. If the Welterweightsfought twice a year and against opposition that have been beaten comprohensively by rivals in the past, it would be neglecting their own abilities and we wouldn't be viewing as perhaps boxings hottest division.

In order for the division to come back into focus, the promising up an comers need to move with a bit more pace and quit stalling at the "journeyman" phase. The Champions need to face of against each other, regularly and with as little controversy as possible and the sanctioning bodies need to stop enfiorcing rematches auch as Chaegav-Valuev 2!!!

The problem is that operating as a money making system, the heavyweight division is doing fine. The big guys area ctually making more than adequate money as it is and they really don't need to change anything to live comfortably.

What we really need is a young, perhaps skilled guy, with a ton of ambition to save us from these doldrums of boredom.
